The Defeat of the Candy Dragon

So triumphant in her prize, Bliztia didn't even notice the rustling coming from deeper within the recesses of the couch. The little hippo under her whined and grunted as she sniffed and licked at the popcorn piece, testing it to make sure that it was really candy and not some sort of coloured lint.

With a happy little grunt, she turned to make away with her prize, being met with the unamused face of a rather large house hippo. Oops...

There was a stare down for a few moments. Nary a blink was allowed of any eyelids. It probably could have gone on forever if the mama hadn't opened her mouth to reveal two large tusk teeth and given a low, meancing growl that jerked Bliztia out of the stare. The hippo gave another as it sensed some trepidation in the candy dragon and she lowered her head in submission.

With a reluctant sigh, the little blue held out the prize, squeaking a bit in surprise when it was grabbed out of her hands. The mama gave a low rumble and the baby scrambled up and knocked her over onto her side as it trotted after its mother back to the recesses of their own corner of the house world.

With a whine and sigh of defeat, she watched the two leave. No candies for her tonight it seemed... and more sneakiness to gets them in the future it seemed... Maybe life here wasn't as good as she imagined.
